New Delhi: The Election Fee of India (ECI) on Tuesday introduced the time table for bypolls to 48 assemblies and two parliamentary seats. The bypoll time table was once introduced together with polling dates for Maharashtra and Jharkhand meeting elections.

The bypolls will probably be held in two stages – November 13 and November 20. The votes will probably be counted on November 20. Bye-elections will probably be held for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, in addition to 47 Meeting seats in 13 states on November 13 and Nanded parliamentary constituency in Maharashtra and Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath Meeting seat on November 20.

Leader Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated that the notification for the bypolls could be issued on October 18 and 22, respectively. The remaining dates for submitting nominations are October 25 and 29, respectively. Scrutiny will probably be hung on October 28 and 30, respectively and the remaining date of withdrawal will probably be October 30 and November 4.

  • Budhni and Vijaypur seats in Madhya Pradesh
  • Gambegre in Meghalaya, Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Barnala, and Chabbewal in Punjab
  • Chorasi, Khinwsar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Deoli-Uniara, Salumber, and Ramgarh in Rajasthan
  • Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang in Sikkim, Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhawan, and Sisamau in Uttar Pradesh
  • Kedarnath in Uttarakhand
  • Taldangra, Sitai-SC, Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, and Madarihat in West Bengal.

In the meantime, polling for the Maharashtra Meeting will probably be held in one section on November 20, whilst balloting in Jharkhand will happen in two stages – November 13 and November 20.

The counting of votes will happen on November 20.
