'Terrorism cannot be tolerated': Sourav Ganguly backs severing ties with Pakistan after Pahalgam attack

NEW DELHI: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has strongly backed the decision to sever ties with Pakistan within the wake of the devastating terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives on Tuesday.
Talking to ANI, Ganguly didn’t mince phrases, asserting that terrorism have to be handled firmly.

“100 per cent, this (breaking ties with Pakistan) needs to be achieved. Strict motion is critical. It’s no joke that such issues occur yearly. Terrorism can’t be tolerated,” Ganguly stated, echoing the rising sentiment throughout the nation.
The lethal assault, which primarily focused vacationers, has been claimed by The Resistance Entrance (TRF), a proxy group linked to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba. It marks the deadliest incident within the Valley because the 2019 Pulwama assault.
